The Superdome in New Orleans is an iconic location that houses not only our beloved New Orleans Saints and Tulane football teams but also hundreds of other athletic events, music extravaganzas and important gatherings. This year it will be the location of Super Bowl XLVII - the biggest sports event of the year!

Opening in August 1975, the Superdome has been the location of historic sports events, concerts, and visits from political and foreign dignitaries.  Since 2006 the facility has undergone renovations to the tune of $336 million and in 2011 the naming rights were sold to Mercedes-Benz.  The renovations include:

• Addition and build of Champions Square
• A Grand Staircase leading to Gate C
• 3,100 new seats and improved sight lines
• Three additional elevators
• Expansion of exterior plaza gates A and C
• Expansion of Plaza Concourse (100 level)
• Complete modernization of the facility
• Reconfigured sidelines
• Two premium ground level club lounges
• Exterior LED lighting system
